Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
Building Size: 3,500 square feet
Pedersen & Pedersen, Inc. provided complete surveying and engineering design services for the construction of the new Magisterial District Judge Office building along with associated site improvements on the property.
Initial field surveys located property boundary, topographic, planimetric and utility information of the project site. Collected data, as well as property information including deeds, subdivision plans, and tax mapping obtained from Butler County Courthouse, was compiled to prepare an existing conditions plan of the site illustrating the site boundary, topographic mapping, and existing planimetric detail that served as the base map for engineering design.
Utilizing the base map, P&P worked in conjunction with the building’s architect to prepare site development plans detailing the existing conditions and proposed improvements for the site. The plans illustrated the location of the proposed building, site grading, storm water management system, sanitary sewer extension, potable water supply extension, service utility line extensions, landscape design, and erosion and sedimentation control considerations for construction. Permit application documents, including an NPDES permit, were prepared for submission and approval by Cranberry Township and Butler County agencies.
Additional project services completed for the County included the design of a storm sewer trunk line, construction administration, and preparation of a construction as-built drawing.
